Notes
'Vivid' obedient plant (Physostegia virginiana 'Vivid') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It forms a clump of pink flowers that bloom in summer and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Indian grass, and Royal fern.
