Notes
'Summer Snow' obedient plant (Physostegia virginiana 'Summer Snow') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rain gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows in a clumping form that reaches 24 to 36 inches tall. White flowers appear in summer and again in autumn, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer.
Pairs well with Indian grass, Sweet pepperbush, and Ostrich fern.
