Notes

'Album' autumn crocus (Colchicum autumnale 'Album') is a bulb for borders and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Snow white, vase-shaped flowers appear in fall without any leaves, and the green leaves go dormant in summer. Rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Heather, and Prairie dropseed.
