Notes

'Pleniflorum' autumn crocus (Colchicum autumnale 'Pleniflorum') is a bulb for borders and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It bears double, rose-pink, fragrant flowers from late summer into late autumn. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Heather, and Halcyon hosta.
