Notes
'Album' nettle-leaved mullein (Verbascum chaixii 'Album') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, loamy or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. White flowers with purple stamens open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Feather reed grass, and Blue grama.
