Notes
Verbascum (Verbascum pyramidatum) is a perennial for naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. Tall spikes carry pale yellow flowers with purple anthers in late spring and again from early to late summer. It grows 60 to 84 inches tall and 36 to 48 inches wide, so give it plenty of room.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Blue grama, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
Native range
Southern Russia and Caucasus.
