Notes

Olympic mullein (Verbascum olympicum) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, loamy or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Give the tall stems room at the back of the bed.

Pairs well with First Knight fountain grass, Millenium ornamental onion, and Elfin mother of thyme.
