Notes

'Albuquerque' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Albuquerque') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The dark red, semi-double blooms are fragrant and open in midseason. Strong stems of medium height hold the flowers up well. Gilbert H. Wild & Son bred it.

Pairs well with Iris, Miss Kim lilac, and Sedge.
