Notes

'Alena' tulip (Tulipa 'Alena') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The fragrant red flowers open from early to late spring on stems about 10 inches tall. Each bloom has yellow edges and a canary yellow inside. I.V.T. bred it.

Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, August Moon hosta, and Duchesse de Nemours peony.
