Notes
'Alex Maresyev' tulip (Tulipa 'Alex Maresyev') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The 20 inch stems carry dark pink-red blooms in early to late spring. The outside of each flower glows carmine with a small white edge, and the inside is claret rose with a white base edged in purple.
Pairs well with Bridal Crown daffodil, August Moon hosta, Duchesse de Nemours peony, and Nodding onion.
