Notes

'Alexander' Siberian bugloss (Brunnera macrophylla 'Alexander') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It forms a clump 12 to 18 inches tall and 24 to 30 inches wide. Sky blue flowers open in spring and again in summer, and bees visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Mini Skirt hosta, Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea, and Autumn crocus.
