Notes

Almond (Prunus amygdalus) is a tree for specimen planting and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The pink to white blooms are fragrant and open in spring. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. It also tolerates drought once established.

Pairs well with Common broom, Woolly yarrow, Greig's tulip, and Rock rose.
