Notes

'Amalia Olson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Amalia Olson') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its pure white, fragrant double flowers sit above dark green foliage on plants about 35 inches tall. The petals overlap in a slightly domed shape, and the blooms last well when cut. Christian Olson bred it.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Japanese spirea, and Spanish bluebell.
