Amazing Parrot tulip

Notes

'Amazing Parrot' tulip (Tulipa 'Amazing Parrot') is a bulb for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Parrot tulips have ruffled, fringed petals that look like feathers. The flowers look candy-lavender-pink or salmony-pink, depending on their age and the light, with bright orange highlights along the edges. Feed it with bulb food as soon as it emerges in spring, and let the foliage die back on its own after flowering.

Pairs well with Carlton daffodil, Nepeta, and Alexander Fleming peony.
