Notes
Nepeta (Nepeta faassenii) is a perennial with blue to violet flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 18 to 36 inches wide. Blooms open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Cut it back after the first flush to encourage fresh growth.
Pairs well with Knapweed, Shrub rose, and Foxtail barley.
