Notes

'American Pillar' rose (Rosa 'American Pillar') is a vine for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. It bears pink blend flowers in spring and summer, and butterflies and bees visit them. It is also drought tolerant. Dr. Walter Van Fleet bred it.

Pairs well with Ernest Markham clematis, Hidcote lavender, and Lamb’s ear.
