Notes

'Anniversary' peony (Paeonia 'Anniversary') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Saunders bred it in 1941, and the fragrant, fringed flowers look like Birthday but darker in color. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Nodding onion, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
