Notes

'Antique Moon' peony (Paeonia 'Antique Moon') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The large, fragrant blooms open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 2000.

Pairs well with Jeana garden phlox, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Nelly Moser clematis, and Anglojap yew.
