Notes

'Antonius Pius' peony (Paeonia 'Antonius Pius') is a perennial for cut flowers, borders, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double pink flowers age to apricot and draw bees and butterflies, and stems may need support when the blooms open. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Prairie dropseed, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Charles Joly lilac.
