Notes
'April Pink' camellia (Camellia japonica 'April Pink') is an evergreen shrub for accent planting, hedges, espaliers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and moist soil. Fully double soft pink flowers measure 3 to 4 inches wide and bloom in profusion. Deer tend to pass it by. The glossy, dark-green leaves look good all year.
Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Cinnamon fern, and Crimson Queen Japanese maple.
