Notes

'Arakawa' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Arakawa') is a tree for specimen plantings, accents, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows slowly and has a broad habit, and its leaves turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Bracken, and Primrose.
