Notes

'Garnet' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Garnet') is a shrub for specimen, accent, container, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad shape and shows fall color. It is drought tolerant, and bees and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Royal fern, and Spring snowflake.
