Notes

'Argentine' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Argentine') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, globular white flowers have a creamy tint toward the center and are fragrant. They bloom from late spring to mid summer. Victor Lemoine & Sons bred it.

Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Blue sage, and Kentucky bluegrass.
