Notes

'Asagasumi' clematis (Clematis 'Asagasumi') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its white flowers have a lilac center and attract bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. Yoshio Kubota bred it. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Peony, Stairway to Heaven iris, Vintage Wine spotted beebalm, and Susan magnolia.
