Notes
Ashe magnolia (Magnolia ashei) is a tree for specimen planting and small gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil. The large, creamy white flowers are fragrant and open in spring. Bees visit them, and plants flower when small. Give it shelter from strong winds.
