Notes

'Asian Moon' wand butterflybush (Buddleja 'Asian Moon') is a shrub for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Purple flowers with orange throats open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. The blooms are fragrant and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Amsonia, Feather reed grass, and Blazing star.
