Notes

'Aurea' meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria 'Aurea') is a perennial for rock gardens and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clump 24 to 36 inches tall and grows at a moderate rate. Fragrant blooms attract bees in spring and summer.

Pairs well with Regal Splendor hosta, Claire de Lune peony, and Ice Follies daffodil.
