Notes

'Aurea' red-barked dogwood (Cornus alba 'Aurea') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It has an arching shape and grows at a rapid rate. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Sedge, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Northern bayberry.
