Notes

'Bailhalo' red-barked dogwood (Cornus alba 'Bailhalo') is a shrub for borders, hedges, winter interest, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Yellowish-white flowers open from spring into early summer and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows fast into an arching shape.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Sedge, and Royal fern.
