Notes

'Aurelia' peony (Paeonia 'Aurelia') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Each stem carries one fragrant, light yellow flower with red shading in the center that fades to pale yellow, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Ray Cobbs bred it.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Black Parrot tulip.
