Notes

'Aureolin' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Aureolin') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, fragrant anemone type blooms open in late spring. Light rose-pink outer petals surround a center of narrow, bright canary-yellow petaloids. Egbert Jerome Shaylor bred it.

Pairs well with Monkshood, Sensitive fern, Carlton daffodil, and Foxtail barley.
