Notes

'Aureus' large thyme (Thymus pulegioides 'Aureus') is an herb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It stays evergreen, smells fragrant, and draws bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Cheddar pink, Sage, and White phlox.
