Notes

Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, food gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a mounding clump with fragrant leaves that you can eat. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Blue, pink, or purple flowers open in early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Blue fescue, and Royal Purple smoketree.
