'Ausroyal' rose (Rosa 'Ausroyal') is a shrub for borders and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The upright canes reach 4 to 6 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. Red blooms mature to reddish purple and are fragrant. David C. H. Austin bred it in 1987.
Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Greig's tulip, and Tree peony.
