Notes

'Hot Lips' autumn sage (Salvia greggii 'Hot Lips') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It blooms in spring, summer, and autumn, and its arching stems reach 24 to 48 inches tall. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Purple top, Society garlic, and Mondo grass.
