Notes
'Autumnal Blue' ceanothus (Ceanothus 'Autumnal Blue') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is evergreen and fragrant, and bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plant it in a spot where it has room to reach its full size.
Pairs well with Olive, Texas mountain laurel, and Mondo grass.
