Notes

'Avalon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Avalon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms in mid to late spring with single pink petals streaked with cream and raspberry. Rows of streaked guard petals ring the center. Good stems hold the wide blooms on plants about 24 inches tall.

Pairs well with Woolly yarrow, Stargazer lily, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
