Notes

'Ave Maria' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ave Maria') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double white flowers open blush and fade to white, and some are flecked with red. Strong stems hold the blooms up in early mid-season. J.R. Mann bred it.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Cinnamon fern, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Blue sage.
