Notes
'Aviateur Reymond' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Aviateur Reymond') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tall, stiff stems hold large double crimson blooms with a lavender sheen at the petal edges. The flowers show best in sunshine, and prominent yellow stamens sit at the center. Auguste Dessert bred it.
Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Monkshood, Sensitive fern, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
