Notes
'Aya-ginu' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Aya-ginu') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. A Japanese breeder created it, and the name means figured silk. Cut stems bring the large blooms indoors.
Pairs well with New England aster, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Pink Impression tulip, and Black chokeberry.
