'Cats' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Cats') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. E. H. Krelage & Zoon bred it in 1867. Cut the blooms for bouquets, and place the shrub where you can enjoy it up close.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Ostrich fern, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Anglojap yew.
