Notes
Azure monkshood (Aconitum carmichaelii) is a perennial for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Deep purple and pale blue flowers open in late summer and early autumn. Bees visit the blooms. The plant grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 18 to 30 inches wide, so give it room.
Pairs well with Pretty Princess tulip, Hansa rose, and Sensitive fern.
