Notes
'Rubellum' monkshood (Aconitum napellus 'Rubellum') is a perennial with pink, hooded flowers on tall, upright spikes. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It reaches 4 to 6 feet tall and blooms from early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Bees visit the blooms, and the deeply cut, ferny leaves stay dark green all season.
Pairs well with Blush peony, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Dalmatian bellflower.
