Notes
'Bailtiger' staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina 'Bailtiger') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It sits low on the menu for rabbits. It grows at a rapid rate and has an open habit. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit it, and the leaves turn color in fall.
Pairs well with Switchgrass, Ice plant, and Inkberry.
