Notes

'Ballade' tulip (Tulipa 'Ballade') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The blue-pink blooms open from early to late spring. Plants reach 12 to 24 inches tall, so they make a nice cut flower for a vase.

Pairs well with Wood forget-me-not, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, Armenian grape hyacinth, and Creeping phlox.
