Notes

'Bandit' bishop's hat (Epimedium grandiflorum 'Bandit') is a perennial for ground cover, shade garden accents, and woodland borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry soil. White flowers appear in clusters in early to late spring. New leaves emerge dark red with green veins, then turn green by summer. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Flame azalea, Ebony spleenwort, and Glory-of-the-snow.
