Notes

'Koji' bishop's hat (Epimedium grandiflorum 'Koji') is a perennial for groundcover and shade garden accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry soil. Lavender flowers with blushed white spurs appear in early to late spring and attract hummingbirds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. New heart-shaped leaves unfurl with a rosy, marbled color, then turn coral and copper in autumn.

Pairs well with Flame azalea, Autumn moor grass, and Glory-of-the-snow.
