Notes

'Beline' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Beline') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers are geranium-red and fragrant, so plant it near a path or seat where you can enjoy the scent. Cut a few blooms for a vase to bring the fragrance indoors. Michael Haworth-Booth bred it.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
