Notes

'Belle' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Belle') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, fragrant, shell pink blooms open in late spring to early summer on long, stiff stems. The foliage is broad and dark green. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Carnaval De Nice tulip, Blue sage, and Cinnamon fern.
