Notes

'Berri-Magic Kids' American holly (Ilex 'Berri-Magic Kids') is an evergreen shrub for hedges, privacy screens, foundation plantings, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Bees visit the spring blooms, and birds come to the plant too. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Its evergreen leaves keep color in the garden all winter.

Pairs well with Green Velvet buxus, Pagoda dogwood, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Blue Mouse Ears hosta.
